I probably won't have time to fiddle with this blog thingy until this weekend, so let me take this opportunity to wish you all a blessed and very Merry Christmas. The following video is of one of the songs my father used to play on vinyl oh so many years ago in my youth. My good blog friend Z had never heard it before when I posted it in answer to one of her posts, but she liked the lyrics. I hope those of you stumbling here do also...
May I take this time to wish DaBlade a very Merry Christmas and thanks for the Eddie Arnold post...
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty song! I don't think I've ever heard it before. I like Eddie Arnold! It is nice that you can understand the words, as opposed to the stuff they call music today.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, DaBlade!
Merry Christmas! Loved the song, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to scarce for a few days too.
ReplyDeleteHave a Merry Christmas.
I'm actually heading back to the Flint area this weekend.
Born Again- Thanks! And to you sir.
ReplyDeleteLinda- I liked his "Up on the House Top" the best when I was young. I agree with you on music of today!
VL- Merry Christmas!
Chuck- Merry Christmas! If you are still around Flint next week, let's get a Halo Burger downtown.
I'm late here, but wishing you a Merry Christmas nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteI love Halo Burger. I used to go to Mott and U of M Flint and would go to the downtown location for lunch. I remember the old Vernors mural down there somewhere.
