De Oppresso Liber is Latin for to free from oppression and is the motto of Special Forces. I think we should adopt it for our current oppression. It sounds way better than "Olly Olly Oxen Free!!!"
Last week, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer ordered all big box stores to cordon off their garden centers and plant nurseries, blocking customers from shopping in those sections - “If you're not buying food or medicine or other essential items, you should not be going to the store,” Whitmer said when announcing her order.
More recently, she called access to abortion during the coronavirus pandemic "life-sustaining."
To recap:
Executive Order 2020-21 (COVID-19)
"Temporary requirement to suspend activities that are not necessary to sustain or protect life."
UPDATE: Michigan Gov. Whitmer says she hopes to relax lockdown by May 1 after and four sheriffs said they won't enforce her rules because they 'overstep' and protests to protect America's 'civil liberties' erupt
*Michigan's Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said on Good Morning America that she hoped to reopen by May 1
*It came after protests in Lansing over people's inability to earn a living and after backlash from police
*Four sheriffs said they would not strictly enforce her lockdown rules and that they were 'vague'
*It comes as South Dakota Gov. Krisit Noem vowed to keep her state open despite the public health risk
*She said people were being forced to 'give up their liberties for a little bit of security' despite there being exponential growth in cases in South Dakota
*Many say they are willing to risk catching the virus because they cannot go on any longer without work

Reading on Shaw's Blog, I saw where Shaw asked... "What the hell is wrong with Trumpers? Are they really that deranged?
ReplyDeleteI guess to a Dingbat like Shaw it seems that way!
Who the hell is Shaw, and why do I care?
ReplyDeleteCan't buy pitchforks or feather and tar.

SO, when are people going to stop voting for these pukes ?
ReplyDeleteWhitmer irritates the crap out of me, but then I don't live in Michigan. Seems to be a lesson here for all the nitwits who voted for her. I wonder if the nitwits are smart enough to figure out what that lesson is ... Nah, I was just kidding. I wasn't thinking that at all. At my age, I know better.
ReplyDeleteI guarantee they aren't smart enough, Mustang. Look no further than the poll numbers of these democrat governors. Her's included. They skyrocket with approval the more she exerts power to remove our freedoms. And they are everywhere. Anecdotal, but my FB timeline is filled with them.

Brown Shirt #2: Call the cops
Posters: we just called. we'll see if they come out
Brown Shirt #3: Ridiculous! As much as I hate it, we are playing by the rules and trying to not only keep us safe, but keep others safe.
Brown Shirt #4: It just seems it never ends with some people. I have the same thing here.
Brown Shirt #5: We just found out tonight a nurse at McLaren lost her husband and mom in one week to this virus! You can't fix stupid 🤬
Brownshirt#7: I hope they arrest them!!
Brown Shirt #6: Yeah, I saw several cars and trucks parked at the house you're speaking of. Too bad the township police department didn't notice. If one infected person can spread the Coronavirus to 40 others, who can then spread it to 40 more and so on, they need mor…See more
And there are many more... It's good to be reminded just who it is I am surrounded by. No wonder we get looks from some neighbors when we walk the dog every day. Some wave back. some just glare at us.
ReplyDeleteDaBlade, you are surrounded by people with a mental capacity of from 0 to 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. IMHO
