The Jerk & The Drunk

Failed ex-Speaker and drunkard, John Boehner, likened Ted Cruz to the devil on Wednesday, calling him ‘Lucifer in the flesh’ (that is assuming he read Trump's text correctly through his beer goggles...)
Boehner described the other two GOP hopefuls, Donald Trump and John Kasich, as his “friends.” Boehner said he has played golf with Trump for years and that they were “texting buddies.”

Huh? I am *not* a bum. I'm a jerk. I once had wealth, power, and the love of a beautiful woman. Now I only have two things: my friend Johnny Boehner, and... uh... my thermos.

Yes, some of you like-minded arrowheads may recognize the scene in my meme above from the movie The Jerk with Steve Martin, and you may also remember I am a fanboy of same. Hey, it's only the greatest motion picture of our time.

  1. I do respect your opinion Dablade, and I appreciate you allowing mine. There may come a time in the very near future when we may have to choose between Donald J. and crooked Hillary or throw our vote away or not vote at all. It is my hope that the Republicans will unite to defeat crooked Hillary regardless of the candidate. If Bobby Knight can get behind the Trumpster, he can't be all bad. The way it appears, the party can either heal with Trump or heel to crooked Hillary.

  2. Dear Good Doctor, we can always respectfully disagree about this w/o worries. We do agree abput the disaster that is Hillary. We seem to disagree abput the disaster that I see in Trump. Number one, I believe the polls that all say Yrump gets creamed against Hillary. If he is the nominee, I truly believe he is unelectable. Number two, On the outside chance he becomes president, i believe he would single handedly destroy whats left of the economy with tarrifs that will launch us into a great depression to degree the likes we have never seen. His erratic moods and nonsensical rhetoric will push us closer to conflict... Maybe to the ultimate brink. And people would blame conservatism for the wreckage, though there is norhing conservative about him. A true conservative would never again get a chance. But we have one in CruZ. Unlike Trump, Cruz would unify us and defeat Hillary. Folks can vote for Trump agst Hillary (but i wont) when there isn't a choice. But like Ed is saying twice, there is stoll a winning choice. #nevertrump

  3. Whenever I read back my comments made with my iPod (I don't carry a phone or a desktop pc in my pocket) it always appeared that I was hammered drunk due to the misspellings and run-on sentences, or that I was maniacally angry - though I do like 'Yrump' and may use that one again. Now if you'll excuse me, this f*&%ing box-o-wine ain't drinkin' itself.

  4. I don't know where to start. Trump is kicking butt everywhere and I'm predicting Indiana as well. Who is telling you that Trump can't defeat Hillary? The MSM that you've doubted for years? Now you're trusting them?

I'm not happy that Trump may be the GOP nominee, I would've picked someone else, but seriously, you think Hillary would be better than Trump?

I would like this disagreement to remain friendly and I hope you feel the same.

  5. Cube, a disagreement between friends. If Trump is the nominee, I will probably quit tearing into him. I hope I am able to ignore him completely so I don't alienate my friends. Peace.
