Evictus

Going to see the movie "Evictus" tomorrow morning. No, not the movie with a similar name directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Morgan Freeman. This one is showing at the 67th District Court in Davison. Hey, at least the tickets (Summons) were free. The trailers to this slow moving train wreck have been brutal.

I'm just glad they found the time to schedule this the day before Thanksgiving.

Bed - Check
couch - Check
Computer - check
TV - check
Sense of humor - check

Looks like I'm good to go.

Like Morgan Freeman's character in another movie once said, "Get busy livin' or get busy dyin'". While this is not exactly Sinatra, I will say this about Flint - If I can make it there (again), I'll make it anywhere.

  1. Blade- Your picture reminds me of a neighbor I had when I was a kid. Once in a while an errant "sky hook" would result in an air ball that would roll on to his property. If he was home he would run to the door and scream "GET OUT OF MY YARD"

  2. Yup, that's the Flint I remember. The good and (mostly) the bad. I used to love Angelo's and actually worked at a coney when I was younger. I also spent a lot of 2:30 in the mornings at coney's around Flint.

  3. Hey "Potsie" Pic-Pic... Just how rare were those errant shots over the backboard? Bearup tells me my new doo makes me look like R Lee Ermey (my fav drill sgt in Full Metal Jacket)... anyway... GET OUT OF MY BLOGYARD!

Chuck- 2:30AM in a Flint coney is an experience one can't fully describe unless one has done this themselves. It's like climbing Mt Everest I'm guessing.

I know it'd be hard work and and you would have to bundle up. I wouldn't be able to smoke my cigar due to the atmosphere... and yes, I'm talking about eating at a Flint coney island.

  4. If that's you, I think you do look like Ermey.

BTW please tell me the eviction post is a joke...

  5. Yep really me, and I'm ok with being an Ermey lookalike. Unfortunately not joking about the eviction, but it didn't exactly take me by surprise. Haven't been able to keep up since the layoff. Of course, they were not interested in a remodification, and believe me we tried hard. No worries... we've downsized and are happier for it.
