TOILET PAPER WARS IN AUSTRALIA

as if they didn't have enough to worry about...

This next one is not mine, but in keeping with the Seinfeld theme...

Made me think of this old picture of me from way back in my newspaper days. Man, we were sitting on a gold mine and din't know it!

  1. Oh, so glad I came by...I miss not having the opportunity to visit my best blogger buddies as often as I'd like.
I had to laugh at this because the Costco near me is, apparently, TOTALLY out of....not water, not food, but TOILET PAPER! Don't people keep a couple of rolls at home , anyway?
I have decided we'll soon be rating disasters like viruses "One roll disaster", "Two roll disaster!" "Remember that virus in 2020? That was a TWO ROLL disaster!" :-)

    1. LOL, I like your rating system, Z! Of course, each 'roll' in photo above is 6 miles long. The best use of newsprint these days!

    2. HA!! And, by the way, Costco has mile long lines (one employee told a friend there were 780 people at one point!!)....but our big grocery stores have PLENTY of TP! I guess saving $.35 a roll is worth waiting hours?! NOT FOR ME!!! I hope we NEVER have a "6 mile disaster!" :-)

    3. Z, Mad works at Costco. She said she's exhausted because they've been getting slammed every day since the thing started, and in fact every employee there is exhausted. Which probably makes them more susceptible to picking up the virus.

  2. We regularly keep stores of everything we might need in a situation like the current.

Though I do think a lot of people are buying stores out to profit when their neighbors come begging for TP like in some dark Twilight Zone episode.
