Chinese space station to rain General Tso's chicken

I had a dream last night. The Chinese space station re-entered the Earth's atmosphere, crashed over my house and the debris field was contained in my back yard and made up of hundreds of Chinese takeout boxes filled with General Tso's chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, deluxe fried rice, egg drop soup and numerous scattered egg rolls. Is this too much to ask?

The predictions on where this thing will crash are starting to tighten. According to SATVIEW, the Tiangong 1 will be directly overhead and "Visual" between 6:43AM and 6:48AM on Easter morning. This coincides very closely with the latest crash predictions. I guess I know what we are having for Easter dinner.

It would be just my luck if a few thousand pointy chop sticks rain down upon me as I was collecting the cartons. Acu-Punk'd-tured!

  1. In an hour, you'll want it to crash again.

  2. I'm hoping for a NYC splashdown ! I wonder if it has biological space germs on it.. Could be the beginning of the end, though given the jet stream, Flint, MI would be near last on the list to be affected if it lands/falls/rocks/topples/slams/tweets anywhere East of there.

(My Chinese wife, born in Detroit, makes a killer Egg Fu Young, among other things)

I'll be back, I'm headed out for bean sprouts !

Mr Blade, have you and yours been for Dim Sum? (Chinese Brunch, formally on Sunday but also on Saturday) If you haven't and if you have a good reviewed place to go there, I recommend it. Lots of good stuff. An easy search of Dim Sum will tell you all you need to know.

Ed, Good Stuff ! Dim Sum will fill you up for the whole day though.

  4. Make sure the place has medium to good reviews. My personal favorites are : pork dumpling (sho mai), shrimp dumpling (same), deep fried shrimp ball, bean curd meat roll, football, taro puff, shark fin (pastry stuffed with good stuff looks like fin). Mad likes the chicken feet but I have not tried them.

  5. Don't know where this is in relation to you but I'd go here in a heartbeat based on the pics.

  7. I admit my initial ignorance that Dim Sum was actually the name of a restaurant. I'm sorry, I don't speak Splanish

  8. Cool. Let us know how it goes. I just put dim Sum in Flint MI and several came up. Just happened to pick this one, maybe there is something that is good closer. Looks like that one only does Sunday? Hope you and Mrs Blade like it.

  9. So, the rest of the story. You'll get seated, then you don't order anything but drinks. They come to your table with steam carts, show and tell what they have and you pick what you want. Most have 3 carts, 2 with the general eats, and one with some eats and deserts. The rest is history and a fiddy dolla bill.
