From the White House Gates to the Pearly Gates

Individual driving 'suspicious' vehicle detained at Secret Service checkpoint near White House

Not sure why I found this funny, but this is the image that sprang to mind when I read that headline. I have no idea why Bill Clinton would be driving the Oscar Meyer hot dog car to the White House check point, or why he is such a sharp dressed man. Maybe he is on another bootie call and trolling for under-aged interns, or maybe its just because Hillary has threatened to come out of the woods.

No matter... once I think of an image, I have to 'scratch the itch' and post it or I can't stop thinking about it. I know. I need blog counseling.
I have the same excuse for this next one. When I heard that Chuck Berry had passed, the first thing I though of was the scene from Back to the Future when Marty McFly (after time traveling back in time) is doing his best Chuck Berry  version of Johnny B. Goode (Before Chuck writes the song), and Chuck's cousin, Marvin, gives Chuck a call...

R.I.P. Chuck Berry.

  1. RIP Chuck Berry? I was at a concert in the early 80's where this guy opened for Three Dog Night. The concert was almost 2 hours late, know why? Chuck wanted more money and the story goes that he got it - all of 50 bucks. Google his name alongside d#$khead and you can find countless stories on what a piece of trash this this guy actually was. I calls 'em as I sees 'em, dead or not.

  2. I honestly never knew more about him than his songs and geeeetar. Now that he's gone, I hope he rests in peace. Neither one of us wants to be judged by our worst days, right? If you would have slipped him a fin a little earlier, you could have got home at a decent hour.

  3. Well aside from that, he settled out of court for putting video cameras in the women's restroom of his restaurant, was imprisoned for transporting across state lines and having sexual relations with a 14-year old girl among other reported perverted acts, but you right dablade for if this guy can enter the gates and RIP, I should be alright too. It's kind of ironic though that Billy was the one who was the focus of low morality in your piece,. Who am I to judge?

  4. Slip him a fin? The concert was included in the cost of the Pistons ticket or $3.50
    I found the details here:

  6. Ok fine, i can be taught. I was just poking a stick at ya doc because i like you riled up. But since you have kid agreeing with you, i must admit the errors of my ways. In fairness, my meme doesn't necessarily reflect him getting thru the Pearly Gate. He just is auditioning on that cloud.

  7. Kid, made me laugh! Sounds like a really bad sequel to Hitch.

  8. It is funny, but when they were playing all the clips of his performances while announcing his death, I expected a reference to Marty McFly.
    Speaking of which.
