I Stand With Rand - Show Us The Bill!

I myself am not a dope smoker, nor do I believe that our foreign policy should involve a border wall comprised of all of us lining up with our pants down and bent over at the waist... However, credit where due:
Rand also tweeted he was heading to the secure location somewhere in the Capital where they are keeping the House obamacare replacement bill (with a personal copy machine in tow) and that he would demand a copy for the American people.

of course, he was stonewalled.

Paul: I Didn't Sign Up to Vote for 'ObamaCare Lite'

Meanwhile, Speaker and pseudo-conservative, Paul Ryan, called Rand's search a publicity stunt.

Paul:  We've been told to ‘take it or leave it’ on Obamacare strategy... Conservatives are inclined to leave it.

Unfortunately, the fate of Rand's copy machine is presently unknown...

  1. Talked about this on air today with Rep Tim Walberg who has read it.
Rand is a grandstand (my term).
They are working on it in committee trying to avoid early controversy.
Rand wants no fed involvement in healthcare.
    That won't fly these days.

  2. I know you don't mean to suggest that free markets won't fly these days (right?) but that's what I hear. They all grandstand. It's in their job description. But Paul Ryan and the establishment ilk are a special kind of jackass. The Republicans have had how many years to figure this out? I should have called in to the show. We would had a spirited yet civil discussion.

  3. Sadly this is what we get with a president trump. Paid family leave, a $trillion stimulus for roads and eventual govt healthcare. A mixed bag, but I won't support the bs parts.

  4. Where was Rand Paul when Pelosi infamously stated, "But we have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy." Another example of the circular firing squad the GOP likes to employ on itself.

  5. A little Office Space there.

Well, doesn't the Senate get the bill that the house puts the final touches on? I am with Rand's premise, but I think he's a little over the edge too.

I must say I'm a little concerned about the bill myself though. HC would so easy to fix. Write some price gouging bills for drugs, and mainly Serious Tort Reform would about fix it all by itself - after repealing ocare in it's entirety and having something for pre-existing, and allow cheap major medical for young people who need nothing but chicken soup maybe once a winter for the first 50 years of their life.

Plain and simple though, those people that came out to vote after not doing so for decades will not do it again with obammycare light delivered on plastic dinnerware.

Yea, how many years did they have to figure this out.

  6. Ed, if the Feds are involved in healthcare to any degree other than punishing medical industry and patient abusers, it will eventually Suck.

  8. Yea, I'm weird. I'm like that one weird old trick to remove belly fat but that never works. Ok,couldn't help myself.

I'm going with Rand Paul being a pretty big rino that has put out a lot of lip service over the years. Just no substance fro the guy. What has he delivered? I'm at a loss.
